Our Services

Emergency preparedness at mass gathering events is a comprehensive process. Medical Sports Groups works with you, your resources and your community to find the best solutions for your circumstances.

Architectural Design/Facility Review

Timely emergency response is an integration of facility design and emergency response procedures. Medical Sports Group will evaluate your existing or proposed facility and make recommendations to enhance:

  • Injury Prevention and Hazard Mitigation
  • Evacuation Routes and Procedures
  • Emergency Response Routes

Emergency Response Plans

Building capacity to respond to, manage and recover from all hazards requires teamwork, planning, training and practice. The best plans are integrated into daily practice each and every day.

Proper emergency planning for large mass gathering events is contingent upon a successful working group that consists of both public and private agencies. Emergency response plans must be functional and mesh with the authority having jurisdiction. All too often emergency plans are based on preconceived response myths and are thus impractical. Medical Sports Group utilizes an all inclusive approach to emergency planning that integrates facility response plans with the local response community to ensure a functional plan.

Training and Exercises

What you don't know can hurt you! Gone are the days of emergency and disaster response plans sitting on the shelf. Individuals and organizations must understand their roles in such plans and remember that practice doesn't make perfect – only perfect practice makes perfect.

  • Training
Training programs must accommodate different types of people, according to their function and role in any response. Training opportunities must exist for all levels of staff from event day staff to full time and emergency response officials.
  • Exercises
Exercises are often confused with training. Valuable time and money is often wasted when organizations conduct exercises prior to training personnel.

Medical Sports Group develops customized training and exercise programs that provide for ongoing learning by all levels of staff and the response community.

VIP Systems of Care

These people are family. Treat them that way. Special events often bring together thousands of corporate or organizational “family” together, away from their familiar surroundings and medical care. VIP and “family” systems of care create a safety net for special visitors and provide them with expedient, concierge attention.

In addition, pre-arranged care systems accelerate the process of bringing key personnel to medical care and back into the venue or event. This system includes:

  • One call service for local referrals
  • Fast track systems for local emergency departments
  • Case management
  • Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) programs

Ongoing Support

Medical Sports Group works with the client to develop a customized system of ongoing support. This may include event review, risk management coordination, critical incident analysis and debriefing, monitoring of a VIP care system, and compliance with ever-changing local, state, and national standards.
